My previous website was more experimental than it was useful. I know, I had posted some tutorial videos about theming with Zen, some notes, and some resources that some may find useful. The problem was that I wasn't maintaining the site. There were tons of comments, spam, and old posts that were becoming less and less relevant.
The theme that I used on the site was my first Zen Subtheme! I created it as a stepping stone to understanding the concepts involved in Drupal Theming. I think I threw the design together over a weekend, while waiting at airports and driving down the road - coming back from a Lullabot workshop where I learned the concepts and wanted to put them to work.
So here I am today. I have become quite comfortable with Drupal, started a Drupal shop, am helping to lead the local Drupal Group, and experiencing a dramatic new release with Drupal 7. It was time for a change!
This site is set up with more thought behind it. I now know what I want to use the site for and how I will continue to maintain it. I will be cataloging my resources, design ideas and inspiration, a tips and tricks. There may be a few personal interest posts in there as well.
I have learned a lot of good stuff over the last few years, and I am looking forward to sharing them. Thanks for being some one that I can share them with!
So, for those of you who were wondering, this site is built with Drupal 7 and is using a subtheme of the Adaptive Theme. And I built the foundation of this site with Drupal's taxonomy, customizing the node template, and using the media module.
